Until now, most small wastewater treatment plants use storage ponds and lagoons which are often foul-smelling, require large amounts of open land, must be located carefully to avoid run-off and produce harmful gelatinous polymerized solids.
In contrast, ERT offers a complete eco-friendly enclosed treatment system to disinfect and remove heavy metals, bacteria, pharmaceuticals, and other environmentally damaging chemicals without the use of chlorine. The resulting disinfected chemically dried solids from ERT's process can be burned as an energy source comparable to wood. The Biobrimstone™ system does not require much open space and can be implemented with a minimum footprint of just half an acre.
